Job description

Location: This position is primarily fully remote, with potential opportunities to work in-person as needed. It is required to hold a Virginia license and live within the state of Virginia.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt, W2 hourly position. While annual compensation can vary based on the total number of hours a clinician desires to work, our clinical rates range from $40-$54 per hour. The clinical rate compensates for both direct care and indirect documentation.

State Licensure and Hours Commitment

We are seeking part-time Occupational Therapists with afternoon and evening availability after 3:30 PM M-F, or weekend mornings/afternoons to best meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy sessions and evaluations for a diverse pediatric population.

  • Diagnose and develop care plans that address developmental needs, including fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and activities of daily living (ADLs).

  • Educate and empower caregivers on adaptive strategies, home programs, and the use of therapeutic tools to support carryover and long-term outcomes.

  • Monitor progress, adapt interventions, and ensure safe, effective care in the home environment.

  • Complete all documentation in accordance with Expressableโ€™s quality and timeliness standards.

  • Fulfill all required training, licensing/credentialing tasks, and internal communications in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Masterโ€™s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT, OTD, or equivalent)

  • Active, unrestricted OT license in your state of residence

  • Ability to obtain licensure in state(s) where Expressable is hiring

  • Reliable internet connection and appropriate private workspace

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist

  • Pediatric experience, including evaluations and interventions in developmental areas (fine motor, gross motor, sensory, ADLs)

  • Proficiency with technology and ability to adapt to new digital tools independently

  • Experience working with insurance-based populations, including Medicaid

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous teletherapy experience

  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities (e.g., Spanish or other languages)
