Job description

Customer Relationship Manager

The Customer Relationship Manager will be responsible for generating profitable sales growth via both new and assigned existing accounts which are strategically targeted within the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) market. The Customer Relationship Manager will be recognized by our customers and internally as the main point of contact acting as the lead customer relationship manager. Sales territory: I-85 Corridor from Northeast Georgia border up to and North of the Charlotte area. This individual has responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

The Customer Relationship Manager reports directly to the Corporate Sr. Director of Sales with a dotted line to the General Manager.

Essential Tasks
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships, across multiple levels, with all assigned customers
  • Identify and qualify organic growth sales opportunities and collaborate with management on the sales cycle from initial qualification to deal closing
  • Maintain an accurate and continuous sales pipeline via the use of CRM (Salesforce)
  • Work with management, key customers, and key suppliers to solve specific challenges and leverage growth opportunities
  • Assist with the implementation and on-going management of applicable Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) services
  • Develop knowledge of products, applications, services, and industries
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of presentations, proposals, and requests for quotes (RFQs)
  • Review daily communication and reports, to ensure appropriate actions are being taken to meet our customers' requirements
  • Perform Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with all strategic accounts to assess the company's performance in the following key areas of customer service: Inventory Position, On-Time Delivery, Quality (PPM), Communication / Responsiveness, Productivity Creation, Total Value-Added Service Level, Documented Cost Savings, Review of the Active Project Pipeline

  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to fifty pounds on occasion
  • Possession of Valid Driver's License
