The Honors College invites applications for Teaching Associates to teach lower-level undergraduate Honors courses with a focus on critical thinking, inquiry, and interdisciplinary learning, with the possibility of offering courses aligned with the instructor's disciplinary expertise. This position is open to candidates from any field of study who hold a master's degree or equivalent credential.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in undergraduate teaching and student-centered pedagogy, as well as the ability to teach interdisciplinary or skills-based Honors courses, particularly those focused on critical thinking, writing, or inquiry-based learning. Instruction in the Honors College prioritizes active learning, dialogue, and reflection, and seeks to challenge students while fostering a supportive environment that values experimentation, intellectual risk-taking, and collaborative learning. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred but not required.
Appointments are made on a per-course, per-semester basis and are contingent on enrollment and programmatic needs. Candidates from all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.
