Position Overview

  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including General Contractors, project managers, estimators, and developers.
  • Project Consultation: Consult with clients to understand their project timelines, specifications, and budgetary constraints, positioning Deville Steel as their preferred vendor.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from cold outreach and initial presentation to contract negotiation, closing, and post-sale handoff.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of local market trends, upcoming projects, competitor pricing, and industry shifts to continuously identify new avenues for growth.
  • Reporting: Utilize Google Sheets, etc to track sales activities, log client interactions, manage pipelines, and provide accurate sales forecasts to leadership. Track and maintain accurate and timely records of contracts, log client interactions, and provide accurate sales forecasts to leadership. Collaborate with internal teams for streamlined sales processing.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 3+ years of successful outside sales experience. Experience in the steel, rebar, concrete reinforcing, or heavy building materials industry is preferred.
  • Sales Grit: A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, with a strong "hunter" mentality and excellent closing skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to visit job sites, client offices, and industry events (valid driver's license and clean driving record required).
What We Offer
  • Compensation: Competitive base salary + uncapped commission structure
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Tools for Success: Vehicle allowance
  • Paid Time Off: Paid leave (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Career Growth: Opportunities for professional development and advancement within a growing, stable company.
