About ChristianaCare:

Shift:
  • Day shift (Flexibility in start time).

  • Monday to Friday Weekend/Holiday as needed

  • Rotate to different locations throughout the week.

PRIMARY Role:

  • To provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to the technical staff.
  • Responsible for the functions of an outpatient imaging department for multiple locations and multiple modalities.
  • Assist in planning, organizing and managing departmental activities and personnel that reflect the organization's annual operating plan.
  • Functions as a liaison between physicians, technologists and support staff.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct supervision and oversight of technical staff and other radiology support staff.
  • Functions as a site leader for offsite locations as needed.
  • Delegates duties and tasks to staff after assessment of capability and scope of responsibilities.
  • Maintains current imaging protocols across all outpatient imaging locations and modalities.
  • Collaborates with imaging leadership in developing systemwide imaging policies and procedures.
  • Maintains exam scheduling efficiency within high volume imaging centers.
  • Manages the maintenance of imaging and patient care equipment.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance, safety, and specifications of equipment. (ACR, MQSA, State Radiation Control)
  • Maintains ACR accreditations for all qualifying imaging equipment.
  • Prepares and ensures compliance with all Joint Commission standards for multiple locations.
  • Performs new employee and department orientations.
  • Works with vendors on new supplies and equipment needs.
  • Works with clinical engineering, equipment vendors and physicists, to assure quality of imaging equipment.
  • Completes employee mandatory performance check-ins.
  • Actively participates in the recruitment and hiring processes.
  • Works with the Operations Manager in completing performance evaluations and related human resources data, handles employee coaching and discipline as needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • ARRT or RDMS certified.
  • Completion of Associates Degree in Sciences.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred or obtained within 3 years of hire.
  • Advanced Board Certification in CT and/or MRI when applicable.
  • Minimum of 5 years imaging experience.
  • CPR Certification.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • ARRT or RDMS registered
  • Delaware State Licensure
  • CPR Certification
This position pays $49.11 to $67.53 per hour based on experience.This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
