Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Jersey City, NJ that is seeking an IT Project Governance Manager.
Summary:
In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving the Initial Project Funding Request (IPR), Budget Application Form (BAF), Project Change Request (PCR), and Request for Agile Drawdown (RAD) submitted by project teams. This includes ensuring adherence to the Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) and Approved Iterative Methodology (AIM), assessing the feasibility and justification of project plans (cost, schedule, scope), optimizing costs, identifying risks, and verifying that the appropriate level of detail is provided within the documentation.
Responsibilities include providing guidance to project teams to resolve complex situations, mitigate risks, and apply PDLC or AIM in unique situations; offering support with toolsets (Project Portfolio Portal - in-house tool, MS Project, PlanView, etc.); and coordinating with the Home Office in Japan for IPR/BAF/PCR/RAD approvals when required. Additionally, you will package IPR/BAF/PCR/RAD based on information provided by Project Managers (summarizing the request, inputting information into cost plans, etc.) for expedited approvals.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2-5 years of experience in IT project management in financial industry is preferred
* Attention to detail is a MUST - validation of numbers and dates is required daily
* Requires being onsite at the NJ office (Harborside) 4 days a week
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
