Job Summary
GTS Transportation is seeking a motivated, high-energy Carrier Sales Representative to join our in-office team in Burr-Ridge, IL. This W2 position is ideal for a logistics professional with 1-3 years of experience looking to grow their career. You will utilize your industry knowledge to source trucking capacity, negotiate competitive freight rates, and ensure the safe, on-time delivery of shipments. Employment Type & Schedule: Full-time, W2, 100% in-office. Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CDT.
What You'll Do (Your Day-to-Day):
  • Build Capacity: Actively phone source and recruit new trucking carriers while maintaining existing relationships to secure reliable freight capacity
  • Bilingual Communication: Utilize English and Russian language skills to source, negotiate, and build rapport with a diverse pool of regional and national carriers
  • Negotiate Rates: Buy transit capacity at competitive rates based on market trends, seasonal lane volatility, and historical data to protect profit margins
  • Track & Trace: Monitor booked loads from dispatch to final delivery, providing proactive updates to internal operations teams
  • Resolve Issues: Act quickly to solve basic transit challenges, mechanical breakdowns, or missed windows to minimize service disruptions
  • Maintain System Accuracy: Update the Transportation Management System (TMS) in real-time with precise load status, carrier details, and pricing info

What You Bring to the Table:
  • Experience: 1-3 years of direct experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or inside logistics sales (Required)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Required)
  • Languages: Full professional fluency in both English and Russian (Preferred, but not required)
  • Technical: Proficiency working within a Transportation Management System (TMS) and standard load boards (DAT, Truckstop)
  • Work Style: Driven, self-motivated individual who excels under pressure and meets daily volume and call goals

Compensation
We offer a base salary of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, plus commission on top - because we believe your hard work should be rewarded. Final pay will reflect your experience, qualifications, and the skills you bring to the team.
