A little about the position:
​​​The Pilot Driver is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient transport of wide-load fiberglass swimming pools from production to final delivery sites. This role assists with loading and unloading activities, escorts oversized loads to designated destinations, and ensures safe clearance from traffic, obstacles, and environmental hazards by working closely with the CDL Driver and follows escort requirements outlined by state permits while adhering to all company and transportation safety standards. This position is also subject to random drug testing.​​

Some of What You Will Do:
• Assist in loading and unloading fiberglass pools and related materials 
in accordance with safety procedures. 
• Escort CDL Driver and wide-load cargo following all state and local 
escort regulations. 
• Read, understand, and follow state permits for safe escort operations. 
• Communicate effectively with the CDL Driver regarding traffic flow, 
hazards, obstacles, and route conditions. 
• Maintain a clean, presentable pilot vehicle (interior and exterior). 
• Properly secure and tie down pool loads as required. 
• Maintain current certifications for all states requiring 
• pilot/escort driver credentials. 
• Successfully complete annual defensive driving training. 
• Adhere to all company, DOT, and state safety standards.

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)
• Valid Class D driver’s license) with a clean driving record. 
• Ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle. 
• Ability to travel overnight, including multiple consecutive nights as

• Ability to sit for extended periods, drive long distances, and lift up to 40 
pounds.
