    How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:

    Join the dynamic MMSI team as a Security Rover (Part Time). This position is located at the Kings Bay, GA Submarine Base. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:


    Job Duties:

    • Conduct constant Duty Rover checks hourly to ensure that vessels are securely and safely moored.
    • Monitor vessels for any alarms and take actions as needed.
    • If plugged into shore power, ensure that breakers have not tripped and batteries are being properly charged.
    • Ensure bilge pumps are energized and on as appropriate.
    • Monitor electrical power generators, when in use, to ensure safe and effective operation.
    • Inspect all floodable spaces and ensure fluid is not present in the bilges and clean as needed.
    • Inspect the condition of gangways, brows and general pier areas and report or correct issues as needed.
    • Receive and pass on to competent authority, discrepancy reports from vessel operators.
    • Respond to afterhours emergencies in support of mission operations.
    • Recall as necessary, assistance from Contractor Maintenance Personnel.
    • Contact Security as needed to report security violations.

    Requirements:

    • Ability to obtain and hold a Security Clearance. Drug and background check will be required.
    • Ability to obtain a Kings Bay Access badge. Valid driver’s license is required.


    Physical Demands

    • Light to Moderate. Common physical demands associated with logistics work.
    • Pass a Pre-Employment Physical Examination and Drug Test.
