Position Overview

Peace Marriage and Family Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for a full-time remote position. This role is essential for supporting individuals, couples, and families facing challenges related to substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients' emotional and behavioral health.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs of each client.
  • Engage in crisis intervention strategies as necessary, offering immediate support to clients in distress.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and conduct ongoing assessments to track client progress.
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to share insights and contribute to the overall treatment approach, ensuring holistic care.
  • Document therapy sessions and treatment plans in accordance with best practices and legal requirements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Peace Marriage and Family Therapy Services, you will work primarily with clients experiencing substance abuse issues and mental health challenges. This population may exhibit a range of emotional and behavioral concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma, thereby requiring a sensitive and nuanced approach. You will be instrumental in helping clients explore their relational dynamics, enhancing their coping strategies, and ultimately fostering resilience.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Current and active License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a therapeutic setting, demonstrating effective treatment approaches.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in working with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Systems Therapy.
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention, assessment, and treatment planning.
  • Knowledge regarding individual and family development across various life stages is highly beneficial.
