Luxury Marine Sales Consultant

Minnetonka, MN | Full-Time

Are you an experienced, high-performing sales professional who thrives in relationship-based, high-value sales environments?

River Valley Marine is hiring a Luxury Marine Sales Consultant in Minnetonka, MN, serving one of the most prestigious and competitive boating markets in the Midwest on Lake Minnetonka. We are seeking a polished, client-focused sales professional with experience working with discerning customers, premium products, and long sales cycles built on trust, reputation, and repeat business.

This is a rare opportunity to represent premium and luxury marine brands including wake boats, pontoons, surf boats, and high-end recreational vessels in a market where customers expect expertise, professionalism, and a white-glove buying experience.

We are especially interested in candidates who already understand boating, lake life, and the marine industryand ideally have recent boat sales experience in a high-end or Lake Minnetonka environment.

Compensation & Earning Potential

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell new and pre-owned premium boats, wake boats, surf boats, and pontoons
    Deliver a refined, professional, high-touch customer experience from first contact through delivery
    Build long-term relationships with affluent, experienced boating clients
    Manage the full sales cycle including leads, follow-ups, and closing
    Maintain expert knowledge of marine products, features, and competitive offerings
    Present inventory in a premium, customer-focused environment
    Participate in boat shows, client events, and on-water demonstrations
    Maintain strong communication, responsiveness, and professional presentation standards


Qualifications & Experience

Luxury retail sales Marine sales Boat sales High-ticket automotive sales RV sales Aviation sales Real estate sales Yacht club clientele experience Lake Minnetonka boating market experience High-net-worth client sales Consultative relationship selling CRM-based sales environments Outside/inside hybrid sales roles Premium product representation Repeat/referral-based sales success


We are looking for professionals who have:
Proven success in high-ticket, commission-based sales
Experience working with affluent or discerning clientele
Strong ability to build long-term relationships and trust
Professional presence and excellent communication skills
Ability to manage multiple high-value opportunities simultaneously
Self-discipline, motivation, and consistent performance history
Boating knowledge or direct marine sales experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with Lake Minnetonka boating culture is a strong advantage


Schedule

  • MondayFriday: 9:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.
    Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
    Weekday off when working Saturday
    Flexibility based on client needs and seasonal demand
