Job description

Field Service Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our customers by installing, maintaining, and repairing welding and cutting equipment. Beyond technical service, you will act as a trusted partner, identifying opportunities, supporting sales, and contributing to continuous improvement.

What you’ll do
  • Technical services & support: Daily implementation of the safety culture and driving safety improvement initiatives.
  • Commission and repair equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, verification tests, and machine evaluations.
  • Ensure commissioning acceptance tests and documentation are completed and non-conformities reported.
  • Deliver service contracts to a world‑class quality standard.
  • Provide technical sales support, generate leads, and support new machine sales when needed.
  • Coordinate installation and maintenance through service partners.
  • Build strong customer relationships and identify valuable business opportunities.
  • Contribute to achieving the AM budget by satisfying customer needs and feeding leads to the business.
Projects & Digital Tools
  • Use digital platforms to enhance diagnostics, reporting, and remote service capabilities.
  • Ensure digital service reports and weekly updates are accurately completed.
  • Embrace new digital technologies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer experience.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive service excellence.
What we’re looking for
  • Education: Technical diploma or degree (mechanical, electrical, or related field).
  • Experience: 5+ years in technical services for industrial equipment.
  • Skills: Solid technical knowledge, customer focus, and communication skills.
  • Languages: English + local language.
  • Desirable: Frequent regional travel; valid driver’s license.
