Job description

Electrical Engineer – Level 1

Responsible for basic electrical power, lighting, and/or low voltage system engineering tasks for electrical construction projects under the direct supervision of an upper level Engineer, Senior Electrical Designer, or Engineering Team Leader as assigned by the Corporate Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and studies technical drawings and electrical specifications to ensure installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
  • Conducts field surveys and studies diagram and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
  • Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications, with direction from an upper-level Engineer.
  • Plans layout of electrical construction projects with direction from an upper-level Engineer.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering – Electrical, or Associate Degree in Electrical Technology.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience.
  • Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • AutoCAD/Revit knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of electrical terminology and symbols required.
  • Knowledge of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) necessary.
  • Travel 5-10%.
Work Schedule

7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
