Join our team as a Chemist supporting the Specialties business through handson lab work, data analysis, and technical reporting. This role drives formulation, testing, and SAP support to ensure product performance across diverse applications.

 

Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the Specialties business by managing Technical Assistance Requests, conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and preparing clear, detailed reports.
  • Assess pigments and dispersions across multiple application systems to generate marketing literature, technical data sheets, sales sheets, brochures, and customized reports. Direct customer interaction may be required.
  • Formulate, develop, and evaluate water, solvent, and UV dispersions for use in agrochemicals, latex, coatings, digital, and flexographic applications.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant work environment, while adapting testing parameters to meet specific application needs and demonstrate product performance.
  • Maintain full ISO compliance within the Inks and Specialties laboratory.
  • Serve as the SAP lead for the Specialties group, supporting Sales, CSRs, and internal teams by:
    • Setting up new product codes and packages via MDO
    • Establishing inspection plans and COA profiles
    • Completing CMIRs for both Ink and Specialty products

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific field .
  • 3-5 years of experience in inks and specialties, pigments, or a related technical role in product testing, development, or applications.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience highly preferred.
  • Skilled in chemical handling and disposal, laboratory equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
  • Strong math proficiency, creative problemsolving ability, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
