Job Summary:

Leading Heart Program in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is seeking a skilled CT-APP with EVH experience to join in assisting their 3 employed cardiothoracic surgeons at Grand Strand Medical Center.
Qualified Candidates/Details:
  • Graduated from an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program 
  • Have a South Carolina license or the ability to get a South Carolina license prior to starting
  • 2 or more years’ experience with all routine heart surgery procedures and thoracic procedures
  • Possess understanding of clinic follow ups and post op outpatient care
  • Exposure to minimally invasive procedures a plus
  • Experience in EVH and 1st assist in surgery required  
  • APP will be responsible for daily rounding on patients pre and post-operatively as well as conducting follow-up assessments in the clinic
  • Expected call schedule of 1:3

Grand Strand Medical Center is recognized by the Joint Commission, a leading accreditor of healthcare organizations in the United States, for the following programs: chest pain, knee and hip replacement, sepsis and stroke rehabilitation. In addition, we have received awards from the American Heart Association for our treatment of heart attacks and stroke.
Grand Strand is an ACGME accredited residency programs with six residences (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, and a Transitional Program) and two fellowships (Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Endocrinology)
North Strand ER is a 24–hour emergency department located in the North Myrtle Beach area.
Carolina Forest ER is a 24-hour emergency department located on Oakheart Road near the Hwy 501 side of Carolina Forest Blvd.
South Strand Medical Center features a 24–hour emergency department, imaging, lab, wound care program and behavioral health.
The Advanced Wound Center is an outpatient facility for the treatment of chronic non-healing wounds and hyperbaric technology.
The Breast Center provides outpatient diagnostic services including X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound. A dedicated women's center provides digital mammography (including 3D), breast education, bone densitometry, ultrasound and x-ray services.
Carolina Forest Imaging Center offers outpatient procedures including CT scan, MRI/Breast MRI and digital mammography (screening).
