Job description

Description:
  •  Work closely with sales reps, account managers, internal partners, and insurance carriers in managing our broker and client relationships. 
  • Gain knowledge of insurance products including but not limited to: dental, life, disability, vision, accident, critical illness and medical. 
  • Provide prompt, efficient, high-quality service to our broker partners and clients. 
  • Manage customer service box for incoming service requests. 
  • Basic platform maintenance (Divisions/Contact/Salary Updates) 
  • Basic coding enrollments/special enrollments 
  • Set up scheduled reports for groups 
  • Send Ben Admin reports (payroll deduction/plan enrollment/plan comparison) 
  • Correcting plan administrator mistakes in Ben Admin platform 
  • Support the Renewal Specialist for reporting and system updates 
  • Routing Billing inquiries/information about bills to correct parties 
  • Billing updates/research into billing discrepancy reports 
  • Policy exception requests for retro premium 
  • Gathering information from the broker for group termination requests and submitting to carriers 
  • Commissions questions 
  • Includes attached Northeast AM role progression
Requirements:

Required, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all methods of communication: in person, phone and email. 
  • Must have the ability to learn quickly. 
  • The candidate has a sense of urgency and takes pride in their work. 
  • Must be comfortable in a team environment. 
  • Must have the ability to articulate solutions to customer service issues. 

The qualified candidate should have the following: 

  • Insurance carrier experience is not required but preferred 
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented 
  • Strong organizational, time management and follow-through skills 
  • Highly proficient in the basic of Microsoft Excel and Word 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Undergraduate degree (Preferred, but not required) 
  • Desire to continually learn new products and services
