Position Overview
The Commercial A/C Service Technician is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems across the Valley.
This role requires strong technical knowledge of commercial mechanical systems, professionalism with customers, and the ability to work independently while staying closely connected to dispatch and the office team.
What You’ll Do
Service & Repair
- Travel to multiple commercial job sites daily as scheduled
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems
- Inspect systems for safety, performance, and code compliance
- Perform preventative maintenance to extend system life and efficiency
- Conduct performance testing using specialized tools
- Start up and commission new systems
- Assist construction/start-up teams as needed
Customer & Office Communication
- Meet with customers and explain system issues clearly and professionally
- Communicate recommended solutions to both customers and the office
- Use service/dispatch software to update work orders and document repairs
- Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain strong working relationships with building owners and managers
Professional Standards
- Adhere to safety standards and company procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation and occasional overtime as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle
- Represent Artic Air with professionalism and integrity
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC field experience (apprenticeship + field experience combined)
- Strong experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial systems (RTUs, split systems, package units, etc.)
- EPA certification required
- Trade school certification, HVAC program completion, or equivalent experience required
- Experience with brands such as Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Liebert, or Stulz preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to customers
- Self-driven and comfortable working independently without micromanagement
- Willing to go the extra mile, put in 110% effort when needed - all the while maintaining a high quality of work standard
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
