Van Driver

The Greystone Inn, a charming getaway nestled in the heart of Lake Toxaway, NC, is seeking a friendly, efficient and professional Van Driver to collaborate with our team!

The Greystone Inn is a historic lakeside resort located in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Known for its exceptional hospitality, natural beauty, and personalized guest service, the inn offers a unique work environment where you will gain valuable hospitality experience while enjoying the outdoors and the charm of a small mountain community.

Job Summary:

  • Professional use of company vehicles to transport employees to and from hotel, bank, stores, etc.
  • Responsible for the timeliness and proper operation of all employee transportation vehicles
  • General Maintenance of company vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, filling gas, and preventative upkeep. 
  • Greet and welcome all guests in a professional and hospitable manner. Direct guests to the appropriate area.
  • Answer guests' questions regarding local attractions, hotel amenities and other available services
  • Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist guests in entering and leaving the parking area
  • Communicate all unsafe areas and things needing maintenance attention in a timely manner.
  • Know and practice all safety and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • 1 year customer service experience
  • Ability to operate smoothly and professionally under high stress situations.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of hotel services, local shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Flexibility to work mornings or nights, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days (i.e. town festivals)
  • Able to furnish a valid driver's license
  • May be subject to successful completion of background check and/or DMV check.
