Job description

Are you the go-to fixer when production must keep moving?

If solving tough mechanical problems, fabricating smart repairs, and preventing breakdowns is your thing, you’ll feel right at home in our frac sand plant.

What you’ll do
  • Maintain and repair equipment: Keep conveyors, screens, pumps, dryers, bucket elevators, compressors, and hydraulic systems in top condition.
  • Troubleshoot fast: Diagnose and correct mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures to cut downtime.
  • Inspect and prevent: Identify wear, misalignment, and damage; execute lubrication plans for bearings, gearboxes, and other rotating assets.
  • Support operations: Partner with operators and supervisors to resolve recurring issues and stabilize performance.
  • Safety first: Follow plant safety rules, lockout/tagout, and MSHA regulations; join safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments.
  • Document and improve: Close out work orders and logs, track parts, and recommend reliability upgrades.
  • Project work: Install, align, and commission new equipment; assist with plant modifications; coordinate with contractors and vendors.
What you bringRequired
  • Industrial, mining, or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Mechanical know-how with conveyors, motors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
  • Basic electrical skills: motors, sensors, VFDs, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
  • Comfort working outdoors in dusty, physically demanding conditions.
Preferred
  • Experience in frac sand, aggregates, mining, or similar processing environments.
  • Welding/fabrication (stick, cutting torch).
  • Knowledge of PLCs and automation.
  • MSHA certification or willingness to obtain it.
Work environment and schedule
  • 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule; nights and weekends as needed.
  • Noise, dust, heat, and heavy machinery are part of the setting.
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, bending, and working at heights.
