Job description

About the Role

As a Financial Analyst at Degreed, you'll own one of the Finance team's most cross-functional and high-visibility processes - end-to-end commission management - while also contributing to FP&A functions that directly inform executive and board-level decisions.

You'll work closely with Sales, RevOps, and Accounting across global regions, and play an active role in how the Finance team adopts AI and automation to work smarter. This is a role with real scope and visibility from day one, with a clear path toward process ownership and strategic contribution.

Key Skills
  • SaaS finance fundamentals: 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, commissions, or a related corporate finance role - with working knowledge of recurring revenue mechanics and ARR.
  • Commission process ownership: ability to manage end-to-end commission workflows with precision - verifying deal accuracy, calculating payments, and communicating terms clearly to sales teams.
  • Data analysis and interpretation: comfortable collecting, analyzing, and presenting financial data to support recommendations and decision-making.
  • Attention to detail: demonstrated commitment to process accuracy and error minimization in recurring and ad hoc reporting.
  • Excel and PowerPoint proficiency: able to build models, reports, and dashboards that communicate financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Time management and autonomy: track record of meeting deadlines across recurring and ad hoc workstreams with minimal supervision.
  • Cross-functional communication: able to work effectively with Sales, RevOps, and Accounting across time zones and communicate complex financial concepts in accessible terms.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools and technologies: practical experience using AI to summarize, analyze, or automate finance workflows - with genuine interest in expanding that practice within FP&A and commissions processes.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Familiarity with enterprise finance tools: experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, or similar platforms.
  • Compensation plan knowledge: understanding of enterprise SaaS comp plan structures and how incentive design connects to business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end commission process - from validating deal data in Salesforce and updating ARR files, to calculating payments, generating rep statements, and ensuring timely, accurate distribution.
  • Partner with RevOps, Sales, and Accounting to resolve deal discrepancies and maintain integrity in bookings and ARR reporting.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with leadership on budget development and forecasting, including semi-annual planning cycles and long-range projections.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and build dashboards using data from Salesforce, NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, and other tools to support business decisions.
  • Investigate business trends and financial data to surface opportunities for improved resource allocation and operational efficiency.
  • Actively identify and implement AI, automation, and process optimization opportunities across Finance team workflows to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.
Compensation
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The total pay range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000.
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, depth of experience, certifications, specific work location, and internal equity.
