Job Description Summary

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accurately maintaining Payroll files and records.
  • Responsible for the processing weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls; monthly and quarterly commission payments; monthly, quarterly, and annual bonuses; fringe benefits.
  • Accountable for the printing and mailing of payroll checks.
  • Maintain/update payroll records and act as a liaison between Branches and the Support Office.
  • Ensure high degree of accuracy in entering data.
  • Communicate effectively and diplomatically in potentially stressful situations.
  • Communicate accurately and professionally with management regarding payroll-related inquiries.
  • Verify, distribute, and answer inquiries regarding employee W2 forms.
  • Review and correct calculation errors to ensure team members are paid accurately and prevent potential penalties.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, evaluations, and statements using prescribed formats.
  • Support Field requests through ticketing system for payroll related inquiries.
  • Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for identifying process efficiencies and recommends needed changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality in payroll processes and with employee interactions.
  • Prioritize and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff of all levels.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by Manager.

Requirements:


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/training in related field (Accounting, Finance, or HR preferred).
  • 4+ years of payroll experience with a strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and deductions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Workday software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $24.05 - 33.06

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Sunbelt offers team members the following paid time off from work, subject to Sunbelt's policies (unless specified in a collective bargaining agreement):
