Overview

 Aerotek has an opening for a Finance Operations Manager (Assistant Controller) at the corporate office in Hanover, MD.

 OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Regional Controller, the Assistant Controller will serve as a financial steward for business development and account management. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in Aerotek's financial operations, including but not limited to, supporting the capture and acquisition of new business, and the retention, compliance, and profitability of existing business through contracts, pricing, and compliance. The candidate will have a keen eye for financial details, exceptional organization and communication skills, and a passion for growing the business in a highly collaborative team environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Dynamic role supporting daily sales and recruitment operations, with a focus on:

  • Analyzing account, office and regional profitability through P&L's and pricing models driving gross profit
  • Managing producer compensation plans including commissions, bonuses and company stock
  • Collaborating and educating our sales teams on administrative requirements and internal processes
  • Mitigating risk and exposure through contract review and negotiation and adherence to applicable employment law and contractual requirements
  • Tracking performance goals at individual, office and company level with weekly, quarterly and annual frequency
  • Assisting in creation and implementation of new policies, procedures, and programs for the organization to evolve with changing market conditions, employment law, and company strategy and initiatives
  • Providing market and customer analysis, assisting in proposal activities including RFP/RFI/RFQ
  • Executing recurring and adhoc reporting to leadership utilizing our internal ATS, Oracle, BI and Tableau platforms

Executing supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities including:

  • interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting preferred
  • 2+ years relevant experience required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Creates an environment where teamwork is expected
  • Ability to develop a thorough knowledge of business policies and account management practices
  • Strong leadership, communication skills and work ethic
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to negotiate with senior level client contacts (legal department, contracts department, procurement, finance, etc)
  • Ability to balance team and individual workload through effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Ability to coach, train and develop direct reports
  • Strong business judgment and negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Highly motivated and eager to grow within the organization

Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $75,000 - $115,000 + annual bonus potential of $5,000
