Job Description
Teledyne LABS has a great opportunity for a Field Service Engineer in Houston, TX.
Summary
Provide on-site service and installation of instrumentation, Service Contract sales and application support for new products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Schedule and perform on-site installation, diagnose performance issues, repair, and preventative maintenance for products
  • Promote, sell, and support Service products
  • Provide technical support to customers via telephone and on-site visits
  • Assist as escalation engineer for difficult, delicate or on-going situations as needed

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related scientific study; would also consider those with an Associate's degree (A. A.) in Engineering or an equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and 2-5 years related experience in laboratory troubleshooting/repairing analytical equipment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to be analytical, solve problems, and provide technical skills
  • Experience with customer service- Responds promptly, Meets commitments
  • Work well with other team members
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Individual should have knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Ability to travel including some overnight travel up to 75% of the time
  • A valid drivers license is required for this role
