Be Part of What's Next

Help shape the future of creator-led storytelling at one of the world's most influential media companies. As Director, Talent Partnerships, HearstMade, you'll help shape and drive HearstMade's creator talent strategy, building lasting partnerships that power innovative editorial and commercial opportunities across Hearst's portfolio of iconic brands.

About Hearst Magazines (Why Us?)

Hearst Magazines is one of the world's largest publishers of premium content, with a portfolio of more than 30 iconic brands, including Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Esquire, Harper's BAZAAR, Good Housekeeping, and Oprah Daily. We reach more than 165 million people every month across our print, digital, video, and social platforms. Our global footprint, combined with our commitment to innovation, makes us a leader in modern media.

Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Partner with senior leadership to shape and execute a creator talent strategy aligned with Hearst's brands, audiences, editorial priorities, and commercial objectives.
  • Build and manage a scalable creator acquisition pipeline, establishing talent profiles, evaluation criteria, vetting standards, outreach strategies, and pathways for developing high-potential relationships.
  • Oversee talent strategy and execution for creator-led editorial and video franchises, partnering closely with editorial teams and production partners from concept development through activation.
  • Own the end-to-end creator partnership lifecycle, including outreach, deal structuring, negotiation, onboarding, activation, relationship management, renewals, and long-term partnership growth.
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with creators, agents, managers, and other talent representatives while expanding Hearst's creator network.
  • Serve as a senior liaison across editorial, commercial, production, and talent teams, translating editorial concepts and advertiser objectives into effective talent strategies.
  • Partner with commercial and revenue operations teams to position creator capabilities, audience strengths, and content formats as compelling client-facing opportunities.
  • Develop and test emerging creator-led commerce and performance partnership models while establishing scalable partnership standards and overseeing contracting workflows with Legal.
  • Lead and develop a team responsible for talent coordination, creator communications, partnership operations, and relationship management.
  • Maintain visibility into the creator pipeline, active negotiations, partnership performance, and future opportunities to inform strategic planning and resource allocation.

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 8+ years of experience in talent partnerships, talent management, creator partnerships, influencer marketing, branded content, entertainment, media, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing talent and negotiating complex creator, influencer, or entertainment agreements, including deliverables, usage rights, exclusivity, and commercial terms.
  • Strong relationships across the creator, talent management, agency, and representation ecosystem.
  • Deep understanding of the creator economy, digital talent landscape, and social media platforms.
  • Experience translating creator capabilities into compelling editorial, audience, and commercial opportunities.
  • Proven ability to build scalable partnership frameworks, operational processes, and negotiation standards.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving editorial, sales, production, legal, and revenue teams.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, judgment, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while exercising discretion with confidential business plans, talent relationships, and negotiations.
  • This position is based in New York City and requires working in the office 4 days per week.

Benefits (What We Offer)

  • Work with the Best: Collaborate with top-tier professionals across media, advertising, tech, fashion, lifestyle, and publishing, shaping the future of these dynamic industries.
  • Grow Your Skills: Unlock your potential with access to innovative training programs, immersive workshops, and exclusive industry events.

The base salary range for this role is $100,000-$175,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
