What is a commission dually truck owner operator?

Commission Dually Truck Owner Operators are independent contractors who own and operate dually trucks (pickup trucks with dual rear wheels) to transport freight. They typically partner with logistics companies, brokers, or shippers and are paid a percentage of the revenue generated from each load they haul. Their responsibilities include maintaining their truck, securing loads, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing their business expenses. Commission rates vary, but owner operators have the potential to earn more based on the loads they accept and their efficiency. This career offers independence but requires significant responsibility and investment.

To thrive as a Commission Dually Truck Owner Operator, you need a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), a strong understanding of logistics, and ownership or lease of a reliable dually truck.
