The Product Funding Specialist is responsible for growing the quality and volume of qualified leads through relationship-building, effective communication of Grant Engines unique value proposition, and qualifying prospects. Our industry is the life sciences and experience therein are crucial to the success in this role. You will be responsible for picking up on lead generation from the Marketing team to qualify leads based on key parameters. Quality of potential business is measured by two key factors: how good the client will be to work with us and whether the grant has a high likelihood of winning when we submit on behalf of the client.
This role is responsible for the seamless pickup from Marketing and handoff to Product Funding Executives along with ongoing relationship management, for an effective and positive longitudinal relationship between the Client and Grant Engine. Your overall role is to ensure client happiness and positive impression of Grant Engine by the Client via inspiration, can-do attitude, and effective amp; efficient support of client needs. Deliverables include meeting targets for conversion percentage of inbound-to-qualified leads, volume of qualified leads, and other parameters pursuant to our quality goals.

Deliverables:
  • Qualify prospects on key metrics in order to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Qualify prospects on key metrics in order to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Reach out and engage with a high volume of prospective clients in order to meet our win-rate and volume goals.
    • Maintain impeccable accuracy and up-to-date status with CRM systems.
    • Work seamlessly with Marketing and Product Funding Teams to ensure client selection and responsiveness occurs.
    • Manage client relations throughout their lifetime at Grant Engine
  • Ensure a level of satisfaction with all clients
    • Be exceptionally responsive to all client requests
    • Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude to every client, on every occasion
  • Stay up to date on grant funding opportunities and requirements, particularly for SBIR/STTR at NIH and NSF and other funding sources at DoD, DARPA, IARPA, BARDA, DTRA, FDA, and others.
  • Work with CEO and Marketing Team to develop marketing, business development, and client satisfaction strategies.
Necessary Qualifications:
  • Experience with Hubspot
  • Excellent organizational skills, resourcefulness, and responsiveness to meeting goals
  • Demonstrated track record of impeccable relationship building and Client management
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of scientific grant funding
