Position available for person to perform skilled work in the maintenance and removal of trees and limbs from electrical power lines, streetlights and other facilities.
Tree Trimmer I
Salary Range: $41,454.40 - $64,251.20
Anticipated Starting Salary: $41,454.40 - $52,852.80-commensurate with skills and level of experience.
Qualifications:
  • Up to one year of experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Removes fallen branches and trees from power lines
  • Assists in the performance of tree removal, pruning and trimming tasks
  • Operate power saws, hand tools, and chipping machine to chip limbs
  • Sets up traffic control in city and rural environments to comply with DOT standards
  • Work is characterized by the necessity for using safety measures and precautions from hazards such as energized power lines, fallings limbs and trees
  • Performs other duties as required

  • Sets up traffic control in city and rural work zones to comply with NCDOT MUTCD guidelines in the absence of the Tree Trimmer Crew Leader
