JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a dynamic and results driven Sales Manager who wants to join a
team of highly motivated, passionate individuals in a fast-paced, full-service food and
beverage cinema environment. In this role, you will drive revenue growth by selling and
managing private events, corporate meetings, and special experiences in our venue.
Your expertise in outbound sales, relationship building, event planning will be essential
in exceeding client expectations and achieving sales goals.
Must have previous experience in outbound sales with a track-record of high-volume
sales activities and lead-generation. Must be a self-starter and be driven by a passion
for extending the Alamo brand into the community at large to drive event opportunities.
The Sales Manager position must uphold the company’s core values to DO THE RIGHT

Mission Statement at all times and ensuring our high standards of quality and service to
the staff and patrons.
Sales Manager will work closely with other departments inside of our venue to
implement company initiatives on a regular basis and will be an essential member of the
management team.
A successful Sales Manager will have a strong interest in movies, people, and delivering
an exceptional guest experience. They will have an outgoing, enthusiastic, and

REPORTS TO: General Manager
LOCATION: Alamo Drafthouse St Louis, MO
SALARY / GRADE LEVEL: Base Salary plus Commission / Exempt
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Venue Rental and Client Relations
● Ensure that ALL GUESTS have an AWESOME EXPERIENCE, and are EXCITED
to come back
● Generate leads through effective marketing (in coordination with the Director of
Communications) and sales outreach to local groups, businesses, universities,
non-profits, schools, etc.
● Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and
community partners
● Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements ensuring
seamless planning and execution of each event
● Provide all customers with information and quotes for venue rentals within 24
hours of receiving event details and subsequently finalize contracts for venue
rentals to meet sales goals.
● Respond to inbound venue rental leads within eight (8) hours of receipt Monday
thru Friday
● Communicate all aspects of pre-event scheduling, staffing, and on-site event
execution to venue staff
● Coordinate scheduling of client site visits and tech checks as needed
● Support on-site during events
● Drive client loyalty through a strong retention program that includes surveys and
client appreciation after all events with long term follow through
● Address any concerns with clients during and at conclusion of the event
● Share feedback and address areas of concern with venue staff and other
management to consistently improve events and guest experiences.
● Organize outreach event at least twice annually with former and prospective
clients
Community Involvement
● Support non-profits by providing clear plans and process to help support raising
awareness and monetary donations through Alamo Drafthouse fundraising
events
● Track and report all donations to Management
● Coordinate with Director of Communication in order to maximize charitable tie-ins
to public Alamo Drafthouse events as needed
● Gather information about new philanthropic and community partnership
opportunities that match corporate priorities
Reporting and Database Management
● Work with the Alamo Corporate Sales Director to create a month-to-month sales
action plan, submits monthly sales reports and quarterly department reports

● Prepare contracts, proposals, and post-event evaluations to ensure client
retention
● Coordinate with the General Manager on staffing, proper charging, gratuity
disbursement, scheduling, and payroll for the staff who work events
● Utilize Tripleseat CRM software for event and contact management and maintain
files accurately for marketing and outreach purposes
Marketing
● Implement marketing plans in coordination with the Director of Communication,
including email, print, web campaigns and reports feedback on effectiveness of
campaigns
● Represent the brand at networking events, trade shows, and community
engagements
● Ensure that activities, events, and communications are consistent with Alamo
Drafthouse brand and practices
Staff Management and Communication
● Proactively maintain a strong positive relationship with the venue management
team
● Weekly meet with venue Managers, Leads, Projection, and Kitchen Managers to
confirm all private event details for the coming week and consolidate details for
ease of execution through TripleSeat and written communication
● Collaborate with General Manager and management team on training of staff for
events
● Provide availability for staff and management during events and guest
engagements to troubleshoot and provide support when needed
● Participate in brand-wide department training and planning
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Two years outbound sales work history with a proven track record of meeting or
exceeding structured sales goals and delivering growth, preferably in hospitality,
events, or entertainment
● Strong understanding of event planning, logistics, and operations in a food and
beverage environment.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
● Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously
● Ability to provide excellent guest experience working with and though all
departments in a food amp; beverage operation
● Professional appearance and demeanor
● Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office and Google Suites
● Flexible schedule and understanding that 40-50 hours per week is the norm, but
can be more depending upon time of the year and scheduling of events
● Ability to travel for scheduled training

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in and outside the venue, which may or may not have stairs. The
noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work may involve
standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing and some lifting to no more than 50 lbs.
HAZARDS:
Only those present in a normal theater venue setting; no known significant hazards.
