The Director will partner closely with Sales, Science, and Marketing to ensure events are well executed, support commercial priorities, and deliver a consistently high-quality experience.
Key Responsibilities
Hosted Events & Customer Experience
  • Lead end-to-end execution of Drug Hunter-hosted symposia, mixers, and dinners.
  • Manage the full attendee journey, including registration, communications, vendors, logistics, on-site experience, and organizing follow-up needed.
  • Partner with Sales to operationalize invite and attendance strategies while ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
  • Own event budgets, vendor management, and execution against established event plans.
Conferences, Sponsorships & Sales Event Support
  • Coordinate Sales and Science team attendance at 40+ scientific conferences annually, including registration, internal coordination, and supporting marketing actions (note no exhibits/booths currently planned).
  • Manage Drug Hunter sponsorships, including attendance planning, registrations, sponsor deliverables, promotional coordination, and event readiness.
  • Work with Sales team admin to support Sales team site visits revolving around events, sponsorships, conferences, etc.
Flash Talk Digital Series
  • Oversee logistics for Drug Hunter's digital Flash Talk series, including speaker coordination, scheduling, communications, and platform readiness.
  • Ensure registration, attendance, and follow-up activity are integrated into HubSpot.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to improve follow-up workflows and the overall attendee experience.

Event Operations & SOPs
  • Maintain the annual event calendar and ensure key activities, deadlines, and ownership are clearly documented.
  • Ensure events and attendee activity are consistently tracked in HubSpot.
  • Build and maintain SOPs, templates, and repeatable processes that support consistent execution across the event portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the customer experience.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in event management, field marketing, experiential marketing, or a related function.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex in-person and digital event programs.
  • Exceptional organization, project management, and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer-service orientation with a high bar for attendee and speaker experience.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, sponsorships, and event logistics.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to partner effectively with Sales and technical or scientific teams.
  • Experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM/marketing automation platform.
  • Life sciences, biotech, pharma, or scientific event experience strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable traveling for Drug Hunter-hosted symposia and mixers (~30% domestic & international)

Benefits
