Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus commission, health benefits, and a 401(k).
NOW CFO provides outsourced accounting and financial consulting solutions to businesses across the Phoenix area. While accounting or finance experience is preferred, the most important qualifications are strong relationship-building skills, business acumen, and the ability to generate new opportunities.
The ideal candidate has deep ties to the Phoenix business community, an established local network, and a polished, outgoing approach to business development.
Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, LinkedIn, and community involvement.
  • Build relationships with business owners, executives, and key Centers of Influence.
  • Develop referral partnerships with CPA firms, banks, private equity firms, and other professional service organizations.
  • Conduct introductory and discovery conversations to understand prospective clients' challenges and priorities.
  • Connect qualified prospects with NOW CFO's Directors, who will manage scoping and proposal development.
  • Advance opportunities through the sales process and support a smooth handoff into service delivery.
  • Plan, host, and attend events that strengthen NOW CFO's presence in the Phoenix market.
  • Maintain consistent prospect, referral partner, and client activity.
  • Keep CRM records, pipeline information, and follow-up activity accurate and current.
  • Build long-term client relationships that support retention, referrals, and continued growth.
Qualifications
  • Proven success in business development, relationship management, account executive, or consultative sales roles.
  • An established professional network within the Phoenix metropolitan area.
  • Strong familiarity with the local business community.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with business owners and executive-level leaders.
  • Polished presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and time-management abilities.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, and related technology.
  • Resilient, optimistic, and motivated throughout longer sales cycles.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Phoenix area for meetings, events, and client interactions.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Professional services, accounting, finance, advisory, or fractional consulting experience.
  • Experience selling relationship-driven services to executive decision-makers.
  • Experience planning or hosting professional networking events.
  • An active professional presence on LinkedIn.
  • Experience with a national or regional accounting, advisory, or professional services firm.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will be outgoing, professional, collaborative, and actively involved in the Phoenix business community. They will enjoy face-to-face relationship building, bring positive energy to the team, and remain confident and persistent throughout the business-development process.
This individual will work closely with Phoenix Market President, NOW CFO's Directors, and the broader Phoenix team to expand the company's local presence and generate sustainable new business.
