In this role, you will be focused on selling analytical cannabis and hemp testing services<\/b><\/span> to licensed cultivators and manufacturers throughout the state of Maine.

Purpose<\/b>

This position is responsible for generating new business<\/b><\/span> and for maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships<\/b><\/span>. Responsibilities include identifying and sourcing qualified leads, conducting outreach, coordinating meetings, and guiding prospects through Nova's testing services. The role requires frequent in\-person and remote interaction<\/b><\/span> with cannabis license holders and is ideal for a motivated self\-starter with experience in technical or regulated sales.

<\/span>Collaborate with Sales Leadership and the Management Team to develop and implement a strategic sales plan.
<\/p>

<\/span>Provide exceptional customer service<\/b><\/span>-this is a relationship\-driven industry.
<\/p>

<\/span>Educate cannabis cultivators, manufacturers, and processors on Nova's testing requirements, methodologies, and value proposition.
<\/p>

<\/span>Deliver market research and insights to internal stakeholders to inform decision\-making.
<\/p>

<\/span>Leverage industry knowledge to <\/span>expand lead pipelines<\/b> and <\/span>enhance existing accounts<\/b>.<\/span>
<\/p>

<\/span>Serve as a subject matter expert in Nova's offerings, including pricing, turnaround times, service advantages, and differentiation from competitors.
<\/p>

<\/span>Submit sales orders in alignment with internal SOPs and ensure documentation is complete.
<\/p>

<\/span>Educate clients on Nova's workflow and set clear expectations regarding timelines and results.

<\/span>Conduct sales presentations<\/b><\/span> for prospective clients and internal onboarding purposes.

<\/span>Attend and network at cannabis industry events, conferences, and expos.

Physical Requirements<\/b>

  • Working knowledge of a broad range of plant medicine products, processes, and cultivation preferred (e.g. Cannabis, Hemp, CBD and Fungi).<\/span>

  • Working knowledge of regulations (local and federal), Good Laboratory Practices, and current official methods with at least 3 years experience working in an accredited laboratory.<\/span>
    <\/li>\n
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated expertise in plant medicine safety, quality and value.<\/span>
    <\/li>\n
  • Must have strong organizational, leadership, and customer service skills. Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills.<\/span>

  • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.<\/span>

  • A high school diploma (or GED) and at least three (3) years of related sales experience. BS\/BA degree preferred.
