Position Overview


Cherry Hills Christian School is seeking a Christ-centered, passionate, and collaborative Middle School Teacher who will joyfully partner in our commitment to prepare students to live fully for God. The ideal candidate will embody the heart of a disciple-maker, pursue academic excellence, and cultivate meaningful relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader community.

Our teachers are more than instructors-they are mentors, shepherds, and leaders who model the love of Jesus and seek to fulfill the Great Commission through daily classroom life. This role requires a commitment to professional excellence, spiritual formation, and an unwavering belief in the transformational power of Christian education.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create a Christ-centered, nurturing classroom environment that fosters spiritual growth, academic curiosity, and student engagement
  • Design and deliver differentiated, developmentally appropriate lessons that align with CHCS's academic standards and biblical worldview integration
  • Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform instruction and support individual learning needs
  • Maintain consistent and meaningful communication with parents, partnering with them in both the academic and spiritual development of their children
  • Collaborate regularly with teammates and school leadership to support a unified, mission-aligned learning community
  • Participate fully in school events, professional development, and discipleship opportunities
  • Uphold high standards of classroom management that reflect grace, consistency, and biblical principles
  • Model the ideal team player traits-humble, hungry, people smart, positive and loyal -in all professional interactions
  • Contribute to the spiritual life of the school by participating in chapel, prayer, and mentoring students as disciples of Jesus

Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects Biblical principles
  • A deep commitment to the Great Commission and a passion for discipling the next generation
  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field (master's preferred)
  • Current teaching certification or willingness to pursue certification
  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills
  • Experience integrating a biblical worldview into curriculum and classroom culture
  • A collaborative spirit and a desire to be part of a dynamic, mission-driven team
  • Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance instruction
  • A growth mindset and eagerness to learn and improve professionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Christian or independent school education
  • Familiarity with curriculum development and instructional best practices for middle school students
  • Coaching, extracurricular leadership, or missions involvement
  • Must agree to the mission statement, values, and faith statement
