Job description

Alip Qa Tester

The ALIP QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of ALIP-based insurance solutions through comprehensive manual and automated testing.

The role requires strong insurance domain knowledge and hands-on experience with the ALIP platform to validate end-to-end policy lifecycle functionality and regulatory requirements while collaborating with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders.

Requirement/Must Have:
  • Strong hands-on experience with ALIP platform architecture and configuration.
  • Experience designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Experience performing functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Strong knowledge of life and annuity insurance domain processes.
  • Experience with defect tracking and management tools.
Experience:
  • Experience testing insurance platforms and policy administration systems.
  • Experience with automation testing and API testing including REST or SOAP services.
  • Experience validating data across policy, billing, claims, commissions, and underwriting workflows.
  • Experience performing SQL-based data validation and integration testing.
  • Experience working in cross-functional Agile or development teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios for ALIP applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Ensure accuracy of data across policy administration, billing, claims, commissions, and underwriting workflows.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
  • Integrate automation testing with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Validate ALIP components including product configuration, policy lifecycle events, endorsements, renewals, and migrations.
  • Verify ALIP rules, calculations, batch jobs, and system integrations.
  • Perform data and integration testing between ALIP and connected systems such as CRM, billing platforms, claims systems, and data warehouses.
  • Conduct SQL-based data validation and monitor batch jobs.
  • Log, track, and manage defects using defect management tools.
  • Perform root cause analysis and ensure timely defect resolution.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to review requirements and design documents.
  • Provide test reports, quality metrics, and status updates to project stakeholders.
Skills:
  • ALIP platform testing and configuration validation.
  • Manual and automation testing methodologies.
  • Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation tools.
  • API testing including REST and SOAP services.
  • SQL and data validation.
  • Defect management tools such as JIRA.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
