Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) Full Time-Evenings - Surgery

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033

Work hours: Full Time, 40 Hours/Week; Evenings; Monday-Friday 1030-1900; On-Call (2 weekdays/1 weekend day per month); Flexibility to work day shift hours based on department needs and patient volume.

Surgery highlights:

o    Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team.

o    8 Operating Rooms Including 3 Robotic Operating Rooms

o    Center of excellence for Bariatric surgery

Here's What You Need

         Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program

         BSN preferred

        One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.

        At least one year of Operating Room experience in a hospital setting (preferred)

        CNOR preferred

        RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)

        BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire) AND

        ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req

What You Will Do

         Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

         Assesses the patient

         Plans the care of the patient

         Intervenes as appropriate

         Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

         Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

         Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other's need for information

         Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
