Job description

Elite Workforce LLC is seeking an experienced First-Class Marine Electrician to perform complex electrical installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning work aboard marine vessels, barges, and shipyard projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive marine electrical experience, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
The First-Class Marine Electrician will be responsible for installing and terminating electrical systems, routing cableways and conduits, interpreting electrical drawings, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with applicable marine and shipyard standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot marine electrical systems on vessels, barges, and shipyard equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Lay out and install electrical cableways, raceways, conduits, and supports.
  • Pull, route, secure, and identify electrical cables throughout vessels and project sites.
  • Install, hook up, and terminate electrical cables in:
    • Panelboards
    • Switchboards
    • Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
    • Junction boxes
    • Circuit breakers
    • Relays
    • Switches
    • Cable glands and associated equipment
  • Test, commission, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits, components, and systems.
  • Utilize electrical test equipment, meters, hand tools, and power tools to perform assigned duties safely and effectively.
  • Select, transport, and organize materials, tools, and equipment required for daily work assignments.
  • Move tools and materials from warehouse storage areas to job sites aboard vessels using gangways, ladders, and other access points.
  • Ensure all work meets marine industry quality standards and project specifications.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete assignments within established schedules.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, shipyard regulations, and customer requirements.
QualificationsRequired Experience
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Marine Electrician in a shipyard or marine construction environment.
  • Demonstrated experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting marine electrical systems.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of marine electrical practices, codes, and standards.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces as required.
Requirements
  • Must submit a current resume detailing work experience and employment history.
  • Must successfully pass a medical examination and drug screening.
  • Must have reliable transportation and report to work on time daily.
  • Must possess required PPE, including:
    • Hard Hat
    • Steel-Toe Boots
    • Safety Glasses
    • Work Gloves
    • Other required safety equipment
  • Must provide personal basic hand tools necessary to perform assigned electrical duties.
Schedule
  • Monday through Saturday
  • Sundays and additional hours as required by project demands
  • Overtime opportunities may be available
