Commercial Flooring Estimator & Sales

Position Overview
Responsible for driving revenue growth while accurately estimating and managing commercial flooring projects (tile focus). This role combines business development, client relationship management, and detailed project estimating from bid through close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop new business opportunities within the commercial flooring market
  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, designers, and end users
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
  • Perform accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates (labor, material, time)
  • Prepare and present competitive proposals and bids
  • Close sales and manage awarded projects through pre-construction phases
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors for product selection and pricing
  • Identify project risks, constraints, and value-engineering opportunities
  • Conduct site visits to verify measurements and project conditions
  • Track pipeline activity, project milestones, and sales performance
  • Contribute to market strategy and support overall revenue growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial flooring, construction estimating, or related field
  • Strong understanding of plans, specifications, and takeoffs
  • Proven ability to generate and close sales opportunities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
