Van Winkle & Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager Commercial Construction to support and lead the successful execution of commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the Southeast. This on-site role is responsible for managing project documentation, schedules, costs, procurement, and coordination efforts while working closely with Senior Project Managers, Project Executives, and Superintendents. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to help deliver high-quality projects from groundbreaking through closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Executive in all aspects of project execution

  • Support the Superintendent with coordination and day-to-day project needs

  • Maintain document control for all project records and correspondence

  • Manage and oversee technology platforms and project management software

  • Assist with schedule development, buyout, and pre-construction planning

  • Support procurement and inventory management of materials and services

  • Generate, process, and maintain project logs including RFIs, submittals, photos, and reports

  • Prepare, process, and distribute Requests for Information (RFIs)

  • Prepare, process, and distribute Submittals

  • Assist with project cost management, including budget tracking and reporting

  • Support change management processes, including documentation and tracking

  • Coordinate material deliveries and verify timing, quantities, and delivery methods

  • Generate, distribute, and archive meeting agendas and meeting minutes

  • Assist with subcontractor meetings, OAC meetings, and pre-installation meetings

  • Support quality control and quality management efforts throughout construction

  • Manage and execute punch-out and project closeout activities

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management preferred

  • Prior experience as a Project Engineer with on-site exposure strongly preferred

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred

  • Strong understanding of construction processes from pre-construction through closeout

  • Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood-framed structures (multi-family, hospitality, student housing, senior living)

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency with construction management software and tools

  • Willingness to travel throughout Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Florida, typically within a 3-hour radius of Atlanta
