We are seeking an experienced Skilled Septic Installer to install, repair, and replace residential and commercial septic systems. This position requires hands-on experience with septic system installation, excavation, grading, piping, tanks, and drain fields. The ideal candidate can work independently, safely operate equipment, and complete installations according to plans, local codes, and company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and install conventional and alternative drain field systems.
  • Read and understand septic plans, site plans, elevations, and system layouts.
  • Perform grading, trenching, backfilling, and site restoration.
  • Operate excavators, skid steers, backhoes, loaders, and other construction equipment.
  • Identify existing underground utilities and maintain safe excavation practices.
  • Troubleshoot septic system issues and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Assist with septic inspections, testing, and system startups as required.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, inspectors, homeowners, builders, and other contractors.

Requirements:

  • Septic installer, wastewater, or equipment operator licenses/certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, dig, and perform physically demanding work.
  • Comfortable working around excavation equipment, trenches, wastewater systems, and construction environments.
What We're Looking For

Experience installing complete septic systems and operating heavy equipment is strongly preferred.
