Are you an experienced commercial roofing professional who thrives in a hands-on environment? Do you enjoy mentoring others, building strong crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently?

State Roofing Systems is seeking a Commercial Roofing Foreman to lead crews on commercial roofing projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys working in the field, training team members, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to specification.

Youโ€™ll play a key role in creating a positive, safety-first culture while guiding crew members from new hires to experienced roofers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor roofing crews, providing hands-on training and daily guidance

  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial roofing systems

  • Ensure proper installation of BUR, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO, PVC, coatings, tile, and metal roofing systems

  • Review and interpret blueprints and project specifications

  • Run job sites efficiently while ensuring work stays on schedule and within scope

  • Enforce company safety standards including PPE usage, fall protection, and OSHA compliance

  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings

  • Complete daily reports, job documentation, and required paperwork

  • Maintain high-quality workmanship while promoting a safe and productive job site


What You Bring
  • 3โ€“5 years of commercial roofing experience

  • Proven experience installing BUR, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO, PVC, coatings, tile, and metal roofing systems

  • Strong leadership ability with experience managing and motivating crews

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and project plans

  • Strong commitment to job site safety and compliance

  • Ability to work 8โ€“12 hour shifts and occasional weekends when required

  • Valid driverโ€™s license with an insurable driving record


Preferred Qualifications
  • 5โ€“10 years of commercial roofing experience

  • Strong knowledge of roofing manufacturer specifications and installation procedures

  • Experience with roof inspections and quality control

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
