Job description

Equifax is currently looking for a Commercial Credit Risk Analytical Consultant to join our Commercial team. This role is focused on providing pre- and post-sales consulting on technical and analytical solutions. The specialist will work in partnership with Sales and the broader Technology/Analytics organization to demonstrate innovative solutions and provide exceptional value-add to address our customers' objectives. This position involves traveling to customer sites as needed for collaborative assignments.

What you’ll do
  • Support commercial lending clients implementing Equifax’s credit risk and portfolio management solutions
  • Consult clients on how best to use these Equifax’s solutions to proactively manage their commercial credit risk, improve their portfolio management capabilities, and to assist in their capital planning processes
  • Provide technical support to clients relating to Equifax’s commercial risk products, primarily Equifax’s Absolute Probability of Default and other portfolio management products
  • Provide training and demos on Equifax’s commercial risk solutions
  • Participate in Client Business Reviews and leverage Equifax’s solutions and data to provide statistics on client portfolios and to consult on optimizing client’s portfolio management strategies
  • Work closely with clients to help answer product related questions or to research potential issues associated with Equifax’s portfolio management and commercial risk products
  • Analyze the performance of Equifax commercial risk solutions, institutions' own risk ratings or models, and current credit/risk practices to produce proof of concept analytics for prospective clients and to inform strategy recommendations for existing clients
  • Be able to explain Equifax solutions, analyses, and findings to internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Collaborate with other Analytics professionals, Sales, Operations, I.T. staff, and management to support Equifax's customers' needs and to consult customers on designing credit risk strategies leveraging Equifax’s products
  • Work on a variety of other projects, as they arise
  • Travel: up to 10% (e.g. once per month, usually a day trip or one night stay)
What experience you need
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience are required
  • 3+ years Client Facing experience/post sales support experience
  • Three or more years of experience in Credit, Risk, Collections, or Portfolio management related roles
  • College degree, preferably in a business/finance/economics major or a quantitative major (mathematics/statistics), or relevant experience
  • Consistent with Equifax’s 4/1+ 10 flexible work framework, a willingness to work Monday - Thursday in Equifax’s Chicago-based office.
