About the Role:

The Property Manager will oversee the daily operations and management of residential and commercial properties within the affordable housing sector, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining high occupancy rates, managing tenant relations, and optimizing property performance through effective lease administration and maintenance oversight. The Property Manager will coordinate with maintenance teams, conduct regular building inspections, and ensure that all properties meet safety and quality standards. Utilizing property management software such as Yardi Systems, the manager will streamline operations, track financials, and generate reports to support strategic decision-making. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance tenant satisfaction, preserve asset value, and contribute to the sustainable growth of the real estate portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management, preferably within affordable housing.
  • Proficiency with Appfolio Systems or similar property management software.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws and lease administration processes.
  • Experience conducting building inspections and coordinating maintenance activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Certified Property Manager (CPM) or similar professional designation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis and budgeting related to property management.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of multiple affordable housing properties, including tenant relations and lease administration.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and other relevant regulations to maintain legal and ethical standards.
  • Conduct regular building inspections to identify maintenance needs and coordinate timely repairs with service providers.
  • Utilize Yardi Systems to manage lease agreements, track rent payments, and maintain accurate property records.
  • Collaborate with real estate development teams to support property improvements and capital projects.
  • Prepare and manage property budgets, monitor expenses, and report financial performance to senior management.
  • Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and resolve issues to maintain high levels of tenant satisfaction and retention.
