Job description

Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. This is a full-time opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who excels at managing multiple projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage all aspects of project execution.


Essential Duties:

  • Manage commercial construction projects from planning through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor services to support project schedules.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to maintain profitability.
  • Manage contract administration, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Support field operations by resolving project issues and ensuring effective communication between office and jobsite teams.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and company objectives.


Requirements/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing ground-up, tenant improvement, and/or commercial renovation projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and sequencing.
  • Extensive knowledge of contract administration, change order management, and cost control.
  • Proficiency with project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local project sites as needed.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel between office and construction job sites.
  • Ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing stairs, walking uneven terrain, and wearing required PPE.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in both office and outdoor construction environments with varying weather conditions.
