A FAR Part 121 Supplemental Air Carrier, Gridiron Air is a leading charter airline specializing in customized flight solutions using its fleet of Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. We are committed to delivering new levels of safety, hospitality, and operational excellence to the charter market. Our talented flight and cabin crew operate across the globe, 365 days a year. These talented team members are supported by dedicated professionals out of our corporate office - including our state-of-the-art Operations Control Center and world-class Maintenance Operation - located at AFW, Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, in Fort Worth, Texas. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of our business and will require evening and weekend availability when needed.
SUMMARY
The First Officer (FO) is Second -in-Command (SIC) of the flight. While acting in this capacity. The FO shall comply with all regulations and directives pertaining to the conduct of the flight in a manner suitable to the Captain. The FO administratively reports to the CP and Functionally reports to the Captain of the flight.

GENERAL DUTIES
The First Officer will ensure all operations are in accordance with Company approved/accepted manuals and, as applicable, the OpSpecs, 14 CFR, FAA Orders, ADs, ACs, Handbook Bulletins, Directives, and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Comply with all administrative programs including airport/route qualification, flight time limitations, currency requirements (physicals, takeoffs and landings, home study courses, etc.), pilot flight equipment, uniform discipline, manuals, policies and procedures, and others, as assigned.
  • Ensure pilot appearance, attendance, and personal conduct are in compliance with Company policy, culture, and core values.
  • Immediately notify the CP of any discrepancy or incident that may affect their ability, or the Company ability, to perform within the parameters of safety, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Act, as deemed necessary, to resolve any problems or situations that may compromise safety or compliance.
  • When assigned by the Captain, direct the Crewmembers in a safe and efficient manner to meet the operational requirements of the Company.
  • Perform all other administrative duties as assigned by the CP.

QUALIFICATIONS
The First Officer must:
  • Supplemental Part 121 experience preferred
  • FAA ATP License, First Class Medical, FCC Certificate
  • Legal authorization to live and work in U.S.
  • Valid, unrestricted U.S. passport
  • No FAA accident history or history of regulatory violations
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak, understand)
  • Strong communication, sharp judgment, attention to detail, and hospitality mindset
  • B777 or B747 experience preferred
  • 2,000 hours total time (fixed wing) with EFIS/FMS/Glass flight deck experience
  • 1,000 hours in turbojet
  • 1,000 hours Part 121, 91, or 135

WORKING CONDITIONS
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in an office setting. Occasionally, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions which may include wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat and cold. When working outside the office, the noise level in the work environment is often loud. Occasional travel may be required (<10%).
