Job description

Location:  Mississauga, Canada

Job Type: Full-Time

The Commercial Associate plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of commercial data and operational processes. This position supports sales operations through data management, pricing administration, reporting and analytics, customer support, RFP coordination, and process improvement initiatives. The role collaborates cross-functionally to deliver actionable insights, maintain system accuracy, and support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Operations & Data Management

  • Maintain and administer customer master data, pricing databases, and sales data systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Execute monthly and quarterly sales uploads, data validations, and database maintenance activities.
  • Ensure alignment and integrity of customer and item master data within SAP and MDG systems.
  • Coordinate new account setups, contract maintenance, and pricing updates in a timely manner.

Reporting & Business Analysis

  • Prepare and maintain monthly KPI reports and performance dashboards.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc sales analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Support rebate management processes through data validation and collaboration with the Finance team.

Customer & Cross-Functional Support

  • Respond to customer inquiries related to pricing, account information, and system configurations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of operational activities and submissions.
  • Support effective communication and coordination across commercial and operational functions.

RFP & Contract Support

  • Monitor and assess Request for Proposal (RFP) opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather documentation and prepare submission packages.
  • Support the timely completion and tracking of proposal-related activities.

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize workflows and operational processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and data quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within commercial operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and database management.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project coordination skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with SAP, including MDG and pricing management, is considered an asset.

Compensation:

Base Salary: $60,950.00 - $75,000.00 CAD annually.  The compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, work location, prior experience and job-related knowledge, relevant skills and expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
