SUMMARY OF ROLE

Howell's Heating & Air Commercial Maintenance Tech is responsible for performing routine maintenance on customers' HVAC systems efficiently and accurately while identifying potential issues that may impact current or future equipment performance. Communicates diagnostic results, recommended repairs, and completed work to customers in a clear, professional manner.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to read and follow control wiring schematics
  • Education sufficient to apply industry and company standards to correctly diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and/or install HVAC equipment
  • Understanding of proper use and care of technician tools
  • Ability to braze and solder/weld
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in HVAC service, maintenance, and installation
  • Must hold EPA certification
  • Must possess valid Virginia driver's license, be company insurable, with acceptable driving record
  • Must be CPR and First Aid certified or agreeable to become certified
