Role Description This full-time, on-site Commercial Litigation Associate role is located in Framingham, MA. The associate will manage commercial litigation and collection matters from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, and preparing mechanicโ€™s liens and related enforcement documents. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, analyzing complex commercial disputes, appearing in Massachusetts courts for hearings, motions, and trials and depositions and judgment enforcement actions. The role involves close collaboration with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies, identify and secure debtor assets, and maintain clear communication with clients regarding case progress and outcomes. The associate will also support the firmโ€™s commitment to efficient, ethical, and results-driven representation in all commercial collection matters.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial litigation and/or creditorsโ€™ rights.
  • Experience drafting and arguing Motions, including prejudgment and post-judgment relief, and related court filings.
  • Trial experience in non-small claim courts
  • Proficient in legal Research, including statutes, case law, and procedural rules relevant to commercial litigation and collections.
  • Experience with Depositions and other discovery tools, including preparation of outlines and analysis of testimony.
  • Comfort working within Massachusetts and Federal Courts, including appearances for hearings, conferences, motion practice and trials.
  • Active license to practice law in Massachusetts, in good standing.
  • 1โ€“15 years of commercial litigation or related civil litigation experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, professional integrity, and respect for clients, colleagues, and opposing parties.
