Job description

Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney | Chicago, IL
Every skyline tells a story. The buildings, the deals, the infrastructure that shapes how cities grow. Behind every transaction that makes that happen is an attorney who knows how to close.
This role is for that attorney.
A firm with over 100 years in the market and 700 attorneys across the country is looking for a Commercial Real Estate Associate in Chicago. The work spans acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing and development. The clients are institutional. The deals are real.
What you get:
  • $200,000 to $230,000 a year
  • Full benefits package
  • National career mobility across 10 practice areas
  • Direct access to partners and institutional clients from day one
  • A platform built for attorneys who want to build something, not just bill hours

What you will be doing:
  • Representing clients in commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions and financing transactions
  • Drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, loan documents, leases and easements
  • Managing title and survey review, due diligence and transaction closings
  • Handling office, retail, industrial and mixed use leasing matters
  • Supporting financing transactions involving lenders, borrowers and institutional investors
  • Managing multiple complex matters at the same time

What you need to bring:
  • JD from an ABA accredited law school
  • Active Illinois State Bar membership in good standing
  • Three to six years of commercial real estate transactional experience
  • At least two years of law firm experience
  • Experience handling closings, title review and commercial leasing
