Position Overview: The Account Executive (AE) is a strategic leader responsible for managing client relationships, driving new business, and leading internal teams. This role blends consultative sales, operational leadership, and growth strategy. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, a skilled negotiator, and a trusted advisor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

At all times, the Commercial Lines Account Executive shall:

  • LMA – Leadership + Management = Accountability
  • Lead: Set the vision, inspire action, and align teams with agency goals.
  • Manage: Implement processes, monitor performance, and provide coaching.
  • Hold Accountable: Ensure outcomes are delivered, issues are resolved, and a culture of ownership is maintained.
  • Strategic Relationship & Advisory Lead
  • Serve as the primary contact for key accounts.
  • Deliver strategic risk management and insurance guidance.
  • Lead renewal planning and carrier negotiations.
  • Pod Captain & Deal-Maker
  • Lead a cross-functional pod to ensure seamless client service.
  • Drive the sales cycle from lead to close.
  • Mentor team members and foster collaboration.
  • Growth Catalyst
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Expand existing accounts through cross-sell and upsell strategies.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Account Executives to provide feedback on customer and/or market conditions.
  • Handle telephone calls and assist Account Managers and Account Executive as applicable with personal visits from customers pertaining to their individual risks and coverage requirements, claims, new business, remarkets and additional lines of coverage.
  • Ensure that all requests for changes, endorsements, etc. are properly implemented and comport with the various company requirements.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree or equivalent is desired.
  • Proven experience in insurance sales or account management

  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
  • EOS experience preferred but not required
