Position Overview:ย 
As a Generator Installation Tech, youโ€™ll work alongside our expert installation and service teams to wire, install, and maintain standby generator systems and related electrical equipment. Your role will be critical in delivering safe, code-compliant installations and troubleshooting services for residential and light commercial generator systems. ย 
Key Responsibilities:ย 
  • Pull wire, bend and install conduit, and wire electrical devices and control panels
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Install electrical components for generator systems including ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches)
  • Perform load testing, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting
  • Assist in preparing generator sites, including trenching, piping, and setting mechanical components
  • Conduct AC and DC electrical work for power generation systems
  • Use electrical measurement and testing equipment proficiently and safely
  • Ensure all installations meet local and national electrical codes
  • Promote a safe and positive work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications:ย 
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong Soft Skills (Punctual, Follows instructions, Team Player)ย 
  • Strong knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code)
  • AC and DC electrical experience preferred
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints
  • Comfortable working with tools, conduit benders, and test meters
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
