Job description

In an ever-changing world that requires both existing and renewable energy resources to thrive, the need for proven and experienced marine construction and commercial diving services continues to grow.The primary issue most engineers and developers face is finding companies that can provide not only a highly trained team of commercial divers, but also the type of project management expertise needed to work with local communities, complex work environments, and governmental regulations.

Aqueos utilizes its subsea experience and proven track record of excellence, professionalism, and safety to providemarine construction, commercial diving, ROV, andvessel contracting services to theoil and gas , civil, decommissioning,and renewable energy sectors—ensuring that Aqueos remains a leader in technology, sustainability, and environmental accountability.

As a Project Controller your key responsibilities will be overseeing and managing the financial aspects of multiple projects within the organization. Primary focus will be on monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, analyzing financial data, and providing accurate and timely reports to project stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance to ensure cost control and compliance with financial plans.
  • Review invoices, purchase orders, timesheets, and project costs for accuracy and proper allocation within the accounting system.
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, variance analyses, profitability assessments, and draft/final customer invoices.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve project performance and profitability.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders on financial planning, forecasting, contract management, and project execution.
  • Reconcile supplier purchases, inventory usage, and third-party costs against project records and reports.
  • Support accounting functions, including gross margin analysis, revenue accruals, purchase order processing, and month-end close activities.
  • Provide financial guidance during project meetings and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and HSEQ standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives supporting ISO and organizational quality, environmental, and safety objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project accounting or financial analysis, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and financial principles.
  • Strong understanding of prevailing wage laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
